(Due to the weather this w eek\, projects are subject to change and adjust as the week progresses to the greatest ABNC need. The activities we do usually revolve around invas ive removal\, light trail maintenance\, debri clearing\, and general beau tification of the nature center). Arrival Instructions: ABNC is closed to the public at the time of day\, so when you arrive the gate will only b e partially opened. Please feel free to drive around the partially opened gate and park in the general parking lot. We do have bus parking as well if needed. Volunteers should proceed to the ABNC Staff member who will m eet them near or under the ABNC sign near the admissions building to check in\, drop off waivers\, and receive a welcome. What to Wear & Bring: to ensure safety and comfort during the workday\, please encourage your team  to come prepared with the following: Sturdy\, closed-toe shoes (require d) – no Crocs or open shoes Pants  – for protection against brush an d grasses. Clothes that can get dirty – long sleeves recommended for su n or brush protection Reusable water bottle – hydration is key! We have water refill stations on site. Sunscreen and insect repellent we will ha ve some extra\, if needed please ask one of the stewardship techs\, but if any volunteers have a preference or allergy\, please encourage them to bring their own. Hat and sunglasses for sun protection is recommended bu t not required. *Gloves\, Safety glasses and tools that might be needed w ill be provided by ABNC.   Service Waiver: all participants must complete a service waiver to take part in the volunteer activities. A copy is attached to this email\, please make sure all volunteers complete and r eturn it prior to arrival or bring it with them. No under aged persons can fill this out once they get here\, as it needs a parental signature.
