Dr. Ahmed Ali is a board-certified and fellowship-trained general, minimally invasive and bariatric surgeon who earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at Case Western University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Ali then completed his bariatric and minimally invasive surgery (MIS) fellowship at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.From

Megan E. Ortiz is a proud sixth-generation Houstonian hailing from Cut 'n Shoot, Texas. As a member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Speakers Committee, Megan proudly tours our local community year-round, sharing how everyone can make Rodeo Houston a part of their story. Speaking on the economic and community impact of this Texas tradition, Megan's speech gives an in-depth look at the history of the show and the role we all play when we support Rodeo Houston. By day, Megan is the Senior Director of External Relations at Axiom Space, an aerospace startup based out of Clear Lake, Texas.

ROAD TRIP CLUB MEETING!!!

We will once again be taking a “road trip” for our regular Club meeting.  We will join Chef Le and the students of the Clear Lake High School Culinary Program for "Crepe my Day." Chef Le and the students will share the fun of making crepes, both sweet and savory.

Time: 11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
 

Location: Clear Lake High School Learner Support Center. Please click this link to see photos of Feathers and Fork Restaurant.  The Learner Support Center is the former 9th Grade Building at 2903 Falcon Pass, Houston TX 77062 (separate building on the left side of Clear Lake High School. 

Park on the left side of the building and enter through the front - DOOR 1.

• Salmon (Dessert included)

• Vegetarian options are available and please let John Branch know as soon as possible if you have dietary restrictions.

Cost: $25 for lunch (includes entrée and dessert).
Members using your lunch card may do so and simply bring an additional $5. Others, please bring $25 and we will accept cash, checks and credit cards.

RSVP REQUIRED:
You must RSVP to John Branch if you plan to eat and indicate your menu option. It is important that you RSVP so the students and chef can purchase the correct amount of food.

Dr. Deepali Tukaye, MD, is a distinguished cardiologist with over 21 years of experience, currently practicing in the southeast Houston metro area, including League City, TX. A graduate of M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in India, Dr. Tukaye earned her medical degree with highest honors and further specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolism. She pursued her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, solidifying her foundation in medical research and academic excellence.

Dr. Tukaye completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville, followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at The Ohio State University. Her training continued at the renowned Emory Andreas Gruentzig Cardiovascular Center, where she specialized in Interventional Cardiology. She holds board certifications from the American Board of Medical Specialties and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

With a clinical focus on the interventional management of adult coronary, structural, pulmonary, and peripheral vascular diseases, Dr. Tukaye is well-versed in the latest advancements in cardiology. Her research interests lie in preconditioning, ischemia-reperfusion pathophysiology, and vascular biology, areas in which she has contributed significantly through publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Dr. Tukaye’s dedication to education and research has earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha post-doctoral research award.

Dr. Tukaye is passionate about providing comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients, combining her extensive clinical expertise with a commitment to the latest research and treatments in cardiology. Her presence in the Houston medical community enhances the quality of care available to patients with cardiovascular conditions, making her an invaluable asset to MyCHN.

The Rotary National Award for Space Achievement (RNASA) Foundation was founded by the Space Center Rotary Club of Houston, Texas in 1985 to organize and coordinate an annual event to recognize outstanding achievements in space and create greater public awareness of the benefits of space exploration. Each year since 1987, the Foundation has presented the National Space Trophy and other awards honoring those who have contributed to our nation's space program at a gala event in April in Houston, Texas.

2026 National Space Trophy (NST) and Space Communicator Award nominations were solicited between September 29 - November 3, 2025. The 2026 winner of the the NST will be announced January 15, 2026.

2026 Stellar nominations will be solicited between September 29 - December 15, 2025. Stellar nominee invitations will be sent January 26, 2026.

 2. The next screen has a diagram of the room. Each red dot represents a seat. Select the seats you would like to use by clicking the dot. A choice of BAC member or non-member will come up. Select one of the options. 

 3. Repeat #2 for each ticket you'd like to reserve, and then click the NEXT button. 

 4. Under the order summary, click the blue text that says "Promo, credit or voucher code". 

 5.Enter your four digit code on the next screen, and click next. The amount due should change to $0. 

 6. Review your order, and push CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE THIS ORDER. 

 7. You should receive an email with your confirmation. Your tickets will be attached. You do not need to print the tickets. You can use your mobile device to show your tickets, or we can look them up at the door.
