Curiosity, Connection, and Compassion: Using AI to Amplify Rotary’s Human Impact

How can Rotary embrace new technologies while remaining deeply human? Drawing on real examples from club growth, community engagement, and personal stories of hope, Rotarian Charles Elwood shares how curiosity, creativity, and human-centered AI can help Rotarians uncover hidden community needs, strengthen relationships, and give more people a voice. From local service projects to global connections, this inspiring presentation explores how technology can amplify, rather than replace, our compassion and service.

Charles Elwood is a Rotarian from Holland, Michigan, who is focused on human centered AI.  We will view his recorded speech from one of the general sessions at the Rotary  International Assembly held 4 January 2026 in Orlando, Florida.  Charles is a seasoned professional in the field of AI and  data analytics.  He helps organizations turn data and AI into systems that people can use, trust, and manage.
