No, this is not a boring “buy us a ticket.”
No! No! No!
What’s the difference MH?

No… it’s not that this year the grand prize is a 2026 3-Y lease of a spectacular BMW X3!
No, Margarita MH is not singing the song The Wind of Change by Scorpions at the Prize Drawing Event & Holiday Party on Sunday December 14 at the elegant BMW of Clear Lake showroom, either.
And no, it’s not that we’ll be delighted to taste an exquisite Portuguese Wine Dinner prepared by Oporto.

The difference is:

For over 5 decades, Space Center Rotary Club  has celebrated bringing hope to the most needed, not only within our Bay Area/Clear Lake Communities, but Globally with one of its most successful Fundraising Raffle Events of the Year.

The difference is that we are focusing on the “rewards.” Yes! The hundred of smiles from children, senior citizens, men and women, entire families from remote communities and the most significant reward, is the “hope" we awake and reinforce in their lives.

For the 17th consecutive year, The Rotary Foundation has been received 4 stars (the highest rating)  from Charity Navigator. This is an honor and a great responsibility for each of the 46,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide, and that we hold them, boldly and with compassion.

This year, I  want to be part of Space Center’s Local Hope and Smiles and buy a Raffle Ticket(s) NOW, because I believe in its Local Initiatives:

  • Veterans and Active Members of the Military, such as Veterans Centers of San Jacinto College, H.O.M.E, Camp Hope, Oath Inc., etc.
  • Senior Citizens, such as distributing around 500 red roses to our dear senior citizens on St. Valentine’s Day.
  • Victims of Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking and Exploitation, such as Unbound Now and Bay Area Turning Point.
  • Fighting Hunger, such as Rise Against Hunger, The Mercy Tree, Clear Lake Food Pantry, Helping Hands Food Pantry, Harvest Against Hunger, Operation Turkey, etc.
  • New Generations, such as CCEF Leader in Me, Communities in Schools, YMCA with Operation Backpack, Bay Area Alliance Youth and Family, Scholarships, Books for Whitcomb Elementary Library, School Supplies, etc.
  • Vocational, such as supporting CCIS New Teacher’s Luncheon, Teacher of the Year, Excellence in Public Service, such the recognition of First Responders.
  • Disaster Aid USA, serving communities in crisis, such as the Texas Flooding Relief, etc..
  • Young Parents, such as Anchor Point.
  • Literature, Art and Music: such as the Freeman Public Library, Bay Area Chorus and Bay Area Youth Singers.
  • Environmental, such as Exploration Green.
  • And other local service projects and acts of kindness.

I want to be part of Space Center’s Global Hope and Smiles and buy a Raffle Ticket(s) NOW, because I believe in its Global Initiatives:

  • End Polio Now | Motorcycle Ride: We faithfully support End Polio Now and for the second year our Club, jointly lead by Ute and Chris Schneider (Memorial-Spring Branch Club) raised over 42K+.  How many purple pinkies will be able to witness next year?
  • The Guerrero Clinic | Eye Clinic in Mexico: For several decades Rotarians travel to Chihuahua, Mexico and our Club is always present, not only with contributions, but with volunteers. This year, we had the honor to be represented by Suzi Howe, who was there for the Summer and the Fall Clinics.
  • Agua Pura para el Mundo (Pure Water for the World): This year our Club supported an initiative to build latrines for children at a school in a remote and poor village in Honduras, and currently working on a Global Grant for a major water project in Bolivia.

Thank you for reading all the way through and want to be  part of the “Rewards.”

When buying a raffle ticket add in the description: “I read the Raffle story."
