The EPIC Day was founded in 2022 by two Rotary District Governors -- Jeff Krause and Joanne Alfieri -- in Connecticut and Massachusetts. They were responding to Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta's call for all clubs to do a Rotary Day of Service. On May 16, thousand of Rotarians around the world celebrate Day of Service.
Space Center Rotary celebrated Epic Day of Service on Saturday May 9th, 2026. Great turnout with Nurit Hinthorn, Tim Kropp, John Branch, Molly and Bill Hollister, Richard Simmons, Richard Dvorak with his son, Richard Cockerham with Clear View High School interactors and Karina Wade-Gledhill of Seabrook Rotary.

It was a very hot and humid morning, but we had a strong turnout... and everyone said they wanted to do it next year!, Nurit said.
